Experimental Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma Allogeneic Transplant Procedure
Phase I/II clinical trial of the experimental drug AlloStim™
Have you been referred for an allogeneic bone marrow or stem cell transplant for treatment of leukemia, lymphoma or multiple myeloma and have been unsuccessful in locating a suitable matched donor? -OR- Did you fail to achieve a complete remission after initial chemotherapy (primary refractory disease)? -OR- Were you previously in remission and now have a recurrence of your blood cancer? -OR- Is your blood cancer not responding to current treatment? |
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions you may be eligible to participate as a volunteer in a clinical trial which will test the effects (good and bad) of the experimental study drug called AlloStim™ .
If you qualify and after you have read and understood all relevant information about the study you agree to participate, you could be eligible to receive an experimental transplant procedure that uses the study drug called AlloStim™. AlloStim™ contains bio-engineered, intentionally mis-matched immune donor cells. These patented donor cells, developed by scientists at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, are being tested to determine if they can provide the same anti-tumor effects of allogeneic bone marrow/stem cell transplant without the high toxicity associated with current allogeneic transplant procedures.
This Phase I/II clinical study will gather information about the safety and side effects of AlloStim™, as well determine if this experimental drug has any effect in controlling or eliminating blood cancers. AlloStim™ has had limited human clinical testing and neither the safety of the procedure nor the effectiveness of the procedure are currently known.
The experimental procedure does not use any chemotherapy conditioning, as is required for standard bone marrow/stem cell transplant procedures and also does not require a matched donor.

Patients will receive 4 infusions of the study drug a week apart. Patients must come to our outpatient facility in Carlsbad, California to receive the infusions. Follow-up at 30 days, 60 days and 90 days can be completed with your home oncologist.
